Dear KSEA Voting Members:
You will elect the 40th (2011-2012) President, two 39th (2010-2011) Vice Presidents, an Auditor, and four technical group Councilors this year. Exercising your voting right is critical in order for KSEA to evolve into a truly professional network for all Korean-American scientists and engineers.
It is different from previous years that this year's election will be held entirely online (e-Voting) only. No paper election packets will be mailed to you. E-voting is a common practice for elections in many professional organizations nowadays. Not only it is very easy to do, but also it saves the cost involved in the paper voting. Thanks to the e-Voting this year, KSEA expects to save more than $12,000.
Please go to http://election.ksea.org to practice your e-voting privilege and cast your votes.
E-Voting Period: 3/12/2010 (Friday) ~ 4/16/2010 (Friday) midnight
E-Voting Instruction:
1. Go to http://election.ksea.org
2. Click “Vote” Button
3. Type your KSEA Login ID and Password in the Login page. (If you do not remember your KSEA login information, click “Forgot your login ID or password?” link on the bottom of the page. You can retrieve it by typing your email address registered with KSEA.. If you do not remember the e-mail address that you used for KSEA member registration, please email to sejong@ksea.org or call at (703) 748 1221.)
4. Once successfully logged in, you should see your e-Ballot page. Select candidates for each group (President, Vice President (2 seats), Auditor, Group H, Group K (2 seats), Group M)
5. Click “Review my vote” button on the right bottom of the page.
6. After reviewing your selection, type “5~10” characters of secret key on the bottom of the page.
7. Click “Submit” Button
8. You will automatically receive a confirmation email from KSEA.
To encourage participation in the e-Voting, KSEA offers you the following two incentives.
1. Cash Prizes: As a token of appreciation, fourteen "participation cash prizes" are offered (1 First place winner: $300; 1 Second place winner: $200; and 12 Third Place winners: $100 each).
2. Chapter Supports: A chapter which will have a minimum 20% voting rate and 15 or more members voted will receive the corresponding support from KSEA, i.e. $15 per member voted will be provided to such a chapter.
In order to participate in the raffle drawing for the participation "cash" prizes, you should cast your e-Vote at http://election.ksea.org by April 16, 2010 (Friday). Your raffle coupon for the cash prizes will be automatically generated and submitted for drawing on April 17, 2010 (Saturday).
Participation in the e-Voting is not only your right but also your duty as a member of KSEA.
We greatly appreciate your e-Voting as soon as possible but no later than April 16, 2010 (Friday).
