Dear KSEA-SiV Members,

We had a very successful 2010 KSEA National Math Competition (NMC2010) last Saturday (4/24) at Cupertino High School.

There were 90 students (4th - 11th grades) participated from all over the bay area.

The event was run exceptionally well thanks to the dedication of nearly 30 volunteers from our chapter and other organizations like BAKG and KAIST-AASV. Everything was on time and smooth.

The students and parents enjoyed the half day composed of the exam, pizza lunch, and award ceremony. They experienced full range of emotions such as serious focus, relaxation, anxiousness, and fun. During the exam, our member Mr. Kwan Oh gave an informative seminar to the parents talking about the benefits of math competitions.
This event would have been impossible without the great support from Hynix (both cash and raffle prize (USB memory stick)), KSEA headquarter (cash), Samsung (raffle prize (digital camera)), San Francisco Consulate General (cash), KITECH, and Silicon Valley Korean School.

Best regards,
Hyun J. Shin
